In the vineyard

2012 was a classic Eastern Washington growing season. The Summer was warm with no prolonged or excessive heat events. Late Summer and early Fall brought on slightly cooler daytime highs and a significant diurnal shift, a pattern continuing well into October, allowing late varietals to thoroughly complete ripening.

The classic 2012 growing season allowed Winemaker Marie-Eve Gilla to produce a Zinfandel, with grapes from Alder Ridge Vineyards, that is focused yet silky with rich allspice that frames hints of earth and floral perfume backed by bold black cherry, fresh raisin and boysenberry flavors.
