Forgeron Cellars wines are about exploring Marie-Eve's favorite classic and unique grape varietals and blends from the most exciting vineyards throughout Columbia Valley. Euro-centric and old world in style with good balance and complexity.
Marie-Eve makes this wine to show the potential of Chardonnay in Eastern WA. Layered with the full spectrum of Chardonnay flavors: mineral and flinty with ripe pear and peach, and hint of toast, one is reminded of the lovely white wines from Burgundy.
Columbia Valley Chardonnay is our flagship white wine at Forgeron Cellars. Our winemaker earned her double masters in viticulture and oenology at the University of Dijon in Burgundy and our Chardonnay is styled after the great wines of this French region.
Merlot is extremely well suited for Washington state, an early ripener that loves the sun and will get big, smooth tannins and loads of dark and red berry flavors. Forgeron Cellars 2012 Merlot is a great example of Eastern Washington Merlot at its finest!
Forgeron Cellars 2010 Merlot is a blend of three vineyards from unique settings throughout Washington. We focused on each vineyard's terroir to bring the fruit's classic characteristics into focus to create this delicious wine.
Façon Blanc pays tribute to the fresh white wines of the Rhône River Valley in France. Our lively Grenache Blanc-Viognier-Roussanne-Marsanne blend shows great aromatics and a crisp, balanced, flavorful body.
Façon means "the way or style of expression," in French, and represents the unique style of Forgeron Cellars, where Winemaker Marie-Eve Gilla blends her French heritage and training with her years of experience working with Washington terroir.
From Walla Walla to Bordeaux, we all need an everyday wine to relax with. Our Walldeaux Smithie is a red blend composed of one or two vintages of wine barrel aged for complexity, and wine that is fresh and fruity.
