The summer of 2018 was one of the hottest years on record throughout the eastern side of Washington. We experienced several weeks of 95-degree and higher temperatures throughout June, July, and August, which led us to expect an early harvest. However, as we got further into August the temperatures started to cool, leading to an extended growing season that resulted in exceptional flavor development of the fruit on the vine.
