Barbera, Italy's most widely planted and adaptable grape, also excels in the dry conditions of Eastern Washington. Sagemoor Barbera is one of our favorite varietals and each Spring we look forward to this refreshing, Summer-friendly red wine. Always a limited production, this vibrant beauty is meant to be enjoyed with good company!
Sagemoor Vineyards has approximately 800 acres, which includes Sagemoor Farms, Bacchus Vineyards, Dionysus Vineyards and Weinbau Vineyards. Sagemoor Vineyards is located near Pasco on the Southwest hillside overlooking the Columbia River. The vineyard was first planted in 1972 and still includes some of the original vines.
Barbera's versatility reminds us of the European tradition of enjoying wines with good food and a minimum of complication.
