The 2009 vintage of Anvil is a solid, classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes, but exhibits a seldom-encountered perfection of style and balance. Cellaring will allow it to gain complexity over the next decade.
Dionysus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot offer richness, intensity and notes of chocolate, dark cherries, and spice. Full-bodied Pepper Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon bursts with cassis and black currant aromas. Boushey Merlot boasts a focused nose of blueberries and blackberries.
Anvil is dedicated to highlighting Washington State’s most sought-after vineyards in their best vintages. Sometimes a varietal, sometimes a blend; always lush, rich, and complex.
The overall blend is dense, suave with incredibly pure flavors.
