Anne grew up in Walla Walla and has seen many wonderful changes happen in this little community. The once sleepy little town that rolled up the sidewalks at 5 pm on any given day is now vibrant and alive with activity. This is due in large part to the growing wine industry.
Anne’s interest in wine started with a group of friends trying to discover what wine was all about, by having focused blind tasting parties once a month. Through this, she learned some basic nuances in wines. In the mid 90’s, she was offered a position at Canoe Ridge Vineyard to manage the Tasting Room. It was here that her love of wine grew and as part of the CRV team was encouraged to learn as many aspects of the business from the vineyard all the way to the bottling line and ending with treating customers to a wonderful experience.
In 2001 she joined Forgeron Cellars at the end of their first harvest. As a new winery, there was much to do to build the brand. She worked on creating experiences our customers have come to expect and enjoy. As one of the part-owners, she is excited for any chance to share some history of the winery, educate with the simplest of questions, and help guide the next generation of wine lovers to experience all the best that wine has to offer. When Anne is not at the winery, she loves to kick back with family & friends, try a new recipe or two and work on her sewing projects.
