BlackSmith 2009 Pinot Noir
Blacksmith is Forgeron Cellars line of outstanding and affordable wines. To get this combination of quality and value, we source our grapes from different varieties and vineyards and then, with skillful winemaking, craft them into the highest possible quality vintages.
Pinot Noir may be the toughest grape to grow, but the effort is often well worth the constant care and investment. It is a fickle grape that demands optimum growing conditions, opting for warm days consistently supported by cool evenings. The Pinot grape is a little lighter in style, with aromas of strawberries and plums.
Luscious red berries, spice and great acidity make this a perfect food wine. Try with grilled salmon, pork loin with fresh herbs or a hearty cassoulet.
BlackSmith Wines are not available in the Forgeron Cellars Tasting Room. Please check with your favorite local restaurants, wine shops, or grocery stores for availability or have them contact us so we may connect them with our distributor in their area.
