BlackSmith 2008 Syrah
Blacksmith is Forgeron Cellars line of outstanding and affordable wines. To get this combination of quality and value, we source our grapes from different varieties and vineyards and then, with skillful winemaking, craft them into the highest possible quality vintages.
This Syrah is from Stone Tree Vineyard, located on the Wahluke Slope near Mattawa, at the foot of the Saddle Mountains. The Vineyard is blessed with a south-facing slope at 940 to 1250 feet above sea level, and shallow, well drained soils. It's a classic Syrah from Washington State with a mix of wild berries, a bit of earthiness and rich spices balanced by juicy acidity and structure.
Enjoy with a Boeuf Bourgignon, duck confit, or a meat lover's pizza while watching your favorite team score the winning touchdown!
