2011 Ambiance (Woodinville Exclusive)
The 2011 summer season featured numerous bouts of cool daytime weather in June and July due to a greater than normal influx of Pacific air into the Northwest. Despite delayed ripening due to the historical cool summer, the Northwest began to warm in August, and September and October were nearly optimal, with warm and dry days, allowing for prolonged hang time. Patience paid off and those who waited were rewarded with a fully ripened crop.
Our 3rd edition of Ambiance is again inspired by the Rhône wine region white wines. Each varietal brings unique characteristics to the wine to create a special atmosphere of pure enjoyment.
A crisp, full nose greets you with delicious aromas of orange peel, starfruit & apricot. The Grenache Blanc brings a spicy core and bright citrus. Marsanne contributes its powerful texture to this wine as well as hints of honeydew, while Viognier gives the wine lush tropical fruits. Finally, the pretty Roussanne imparts a touch of elegance and "je ne sais quoi". Thanks to the neutral French oak this wine was aged in, our 2011 Ambiance is a full bodied wine with gorgeous spirituality, beautiful balance and an elegant, lingering finish!
Having an intimate celebration for two? Pair this wine with grilled mussels for the perfect "Ambiance." It is equally enjoyable for any night of the week with Lemon Roast Chicken, Seared Scallops Fettuccini Alfredo or Grilled Lobster Tail.
Santé!
