2008 Petite Sirah - Woodinville Exclusive
Known for its dark hue and firm tannins, Petite Sirah has often been used as a blending wine to provide color and structure, particularly to Zinfandel. But on its own, Petite Sirah can also make intense, peppery, ageworthy wines. Marie-Eve is always fascinated by unique, exotic varietals so she decided to explore this on its own. Our 2008 Petite Sirah is another of our VERY limited production wines made primarily with our Anvil Club members in mind. This dark, cassis-colored beauty is velvet in a glass!
On the nose, delicate hints of rich spices, clove, white pepper and roses evolve into rich aromas of dark cherry and boysenberry. Your first sip confirms this luscious wine is full-bodied with intense flavors of ripe plum, mixed berries, and pomegranate with subtle hints of spice, chocolate and a cranberry-accented finish. Our Petite Sirah is juicy and succulent on the palate with balanced acidity and soft tannins. The finish is long and full, ending on a sultry note! It makes you want to curl up by the fire, enjoying a glass while listening to the seductive voices of Adele or Diana Krall.
The 2008 Petite Sirah is offered exclusively at our Woodinville Location.
We suggest pairing our 2008 Petite Sirah with grilled spicy Andouille Sausage or Korean BBQ Short Ribs. But please, make sure the cook has a full glass of 2008 Petite Sirah at all times--it inspires the creativity in the kitchen!
