2007 Zinfandel
Our 2007 vintage of Zinfandel is again a combination of 3 of our favorite vineyard sites, chosen for the unique flavors and aromas they bring to the wine. StoneTree Vineyard is on the Wahluke Slope, a warm site chosen for the white pepper and spice qualities in the fruit. Les Collines, on the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla Valley, adds bold flavors and perfume to the blend. The third vineyard is Alder Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills along the North shore of the Columbia River. This wonderful site brings rich cherry jam characteristics as well as clean minerality to the wine.
Immediately in the nose you pick up classic Zinfandel aromas of cloves, cocoa bean, anise, lilac & orange peel. The mouth feel is intense showing bright acids & exhibiting flavors of chocolate, sweet spices & the dense fruit flavors of boysenberries & dark cherries. The finish is smooth, long & lingering. Our Zinfandel is a huge favorite among fans of Washington wine and we sell out early each vintage, so don't wait too long to stock your cellar.
This is a wine meant to be enjoyed with food & friends. Try our 2007 Zinfandel with Greek Lamb Kebabs & falafel or Duck with a Balsamic reduction sauce. Be sure to have an extra bottle or two of our 2007 Zinfandel on hand. You don't want to run out of wine before you run out of food!
