2007 Chardonnay
Vineyards:
We use several vineyards in our quest to produce the very unique and consistent Chardonnay which has become our signature through the years. With every vintage, we add at least one site while sometimes relinquishing a previous source if necessary. By sourcing from many terroirs, some cool and some warmer sites, we are able to consistently craft the complex, rich and full bodied but also deliciously crisp and refreshing Chardonnay we are so famous for. Here are more details of our terroirs:
21% North of Mattawa: Stillwater Creek Vineyard
19% Wahluke Slope, close to Mattawa: Weinbau
45% Yakima Valley: Gamache, Den Hoed Sunnyside, Crawford, Lonesome Springs
15% Columbia Gorge: Underwood Vineyard
Tasting notes:
Our 2007 Chardonnay successfully combines tradition (Burgundian winemaking) with unique New World fruit characteristics. Assertive apple and peach aromas lead to a mouthful of dense and creamy flavors. Layered and full bodied, yet fresh with pear, citrus and mineral notes outlining its fruity character. This wine is very satisfying from start to finish, built in the Forgeron Cellars tradition.
For the ultimate experience, this longs to be enjoyed with some delicious seafood. Try our 2007 Chardonnay with delectable coconut prawns, seafood fettucini, scallops and clams or something as simple as a rich bowl of clam chowder and crusty bread. Enjoy!
