2006 Barbera, Sagemoor Vineyard

 

We are always looking for these special hard to find varietals, and have outdone ourselves with this wine. Our 2006 Barbera is a limited production wine made mostly with our club members in mind. This is a beauty that truly has the "WOW" factor dialed in!

On the nose, the intense aromas of blueberry, orange blossom, white pepper and caramel almost make you swoon. Your first sip confirms this is a beautifully crafted wine with rich flavors of espresso, dark chocolate, blueberry and pomegranate. The long, spicy finish is elegantly framed by lively acids.

When it comes to food pairing, a roasted duck breast with fruit chutney or sweet BBQ ribs would be delicious. Just make sure the Chef du Jour has a glass of our 2006 Barbera at all times. It adds to the inspiration!
