2005 Syrah
Our 2005 Syrah has been crafted in an elegant style with enough depth and character to allow it tremendous aging potential. The color is an intense dark violet that is truly mesmerizing. The nose is alive with violets, boysenberries, fresh tobacco leaves, white pepper and just enough smoke and earthiness to make this Syrah true to it’s varietal.
The mouth is full of dark berry flavors, blueberry and boysenberry with a touch of dried cherries thrown in. As this wine begins to open, you’ll experience the wonderful framework created by the structured tannins, spices and great acidity followed by a silky finish.
We all have memories of that perfect meal with an incredible wine, a match made in Heaven! Our 2005 Syrah definitely has this potential. Patience is a virtue so for ultimate enjoyment, allow our Syrah to breathe for a few hours before serving. Enjoy with grilled spring lamb laced with fresh rosemary and garlic or an assortment of grilled artisan sausages from your favorite butcher. Add a Caesar salad, crusty bread and at least one bottle of Forgeron Cellars 2005 Syrah!
Sante!
