Our 2005 Merlot is a nicely balanced wine with beautiful body, viscosity and oak qualities that truly captures your attention. This wine opens with aromas of dark chocolate and cherries with a mid pallet of pomegranate. The mouth feel displays a deft touch of classic soft merlot with polished acidity and tannins that promises more. The finish is pleasantly long and lush with hints of cedar.
The 2005 Merlot is ready now but with extended cellaring time the wine will mature gracefully. The best part of our 2005 Merlot is enjoying it with your favorite hearty dish. Try it with beef and barley soup, pot roast with assorted grilled vegetables or a steak with blue cheese crumble. Add a salad and crusty bread and at least one bottle of Forgeron Cellars 2005 Merlot, two would be even better!
