2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant, yet full-bodied wine. The extensive bottle aging has allowed the intricate flavors and aromas to develop into an incredible personality. On the nose, you instantly realize this is a serious wine that requires time for contemplation. It is rich with intense black cherries, plums, dark chocolate and a hint of violets. With the first sip, it’s youthful side emerges, ready for a party! The mouth has lively acids with tart cherries, milk chocolate and caramel. When thinking of the perfect food pairing, beef and barbeque comes to mind. Try with a blackened steak salad topped with blue cheese or a marinated grilled flank steak with rosemary and garlic topped with caramelized Walla Walla sweet onions. Invite a couple of friends to join you and pour a bottle or two of Forgeron Cellars 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon.
