Marie-Eve Gilla represents Forgeron Cellars & the WA State Wine Commission on Quebec, Canada.
For many in the Montreal area, this showcase was their first introduction to Washington wines.
On behalf of the Washington State Wine Commission, Marie-Eve Gilla, a member of the French-American Chamber of Commerce, traveled to Montreal, Quebec, Canada this past week, February 17-20, 2013. Marie-Eve gave a presentation to sommelier students in French. Sommeliers, or wine stewards, are highly trained & knowledgeable wine professionals, specializing in all aspects of wine & food pairing.
The Commission also hosted sommeliers, restauranteurs, Societe des Alcohol du Quebec (Quebec's Liquor Board equivalent) wine consultants, & media at the event, designed to showcase Washington's wine industry. For many, this was their first introduction to Washington wines. Marie-Eve wrapped up her visit with a radio interview on Radio Villa-Marie with Monsieur Roger Huet.Tweet
