Rhone Inspired Washington Wines from Forgeron Cellars

Wine Tasting Line-up for August 2016

There's something different every month! Learn what it means to be a Rhône-inspired Washington wine, and taste up to 6 of our fun and interesting varieties.

What's pouring in August?

Here is the list of wines you can taste when you visit the Walla Walla winery or Woodinville tasting room during the month of August.

  • 2015 Rosé of Sangiovese
  • 2014 Chardonnay
  • 2013 Barbera
  • 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon (91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate)

You'll also get to taste and learn when you experience our Rhône-inspired Washington wines:

  • 2014 Façon Blanc
  • 2013 Façon Rouge (91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate)

Our Façon Rouge (GSM red blend) and Façon Blanc (white blend) are inspired by the wine styles of the Southern Rhône Valley in France. They are labeled Façon [FAH-son] meaning “the way, fashion, or style of expression,” to represent the unique style of Forgeron Cellars where winemaker Marie-Eve Gilla blends her French heritage and training with her years of experience working with Washington terroir. Come to taste at either location during the month of August and learn what it means to be a Rhône-inspired wine.

These additional wines are in stock, but not being poured: 2012 Merlot (90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate), 2013 Zinfandel, 2013 Primitivo, Walldeaux Smithie

Reserve wines: 2011 Red Mountain Mourvèdre, 2011 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 ANVIL Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon (94 Points - Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate)
