The Wine Advocate Reviews 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
"Notes of cedar, spice box, violets, black cherry cola, cassis, & black currant..."
Dr. Jay Miller, The Wine Advocate, August 2011
Forgeron Cellars' 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon was reviewed for the September 2011 issue of Wine Advocate.
"The 2008 Forgeron Cabernet Sauvignon Blend contains 4% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec aged in predominantly new French oak. Notes of cedar, spice box, violets, black cherry cola, cassis and black currant inform the nose of an elegant, racy, relatively forward style of cabernet. In the glass it reveals savory flavors, excellent volume, enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years and a lengthy, pure finish. Drink this solid effort from 2013 to 2023.
"Fench ex-pat Marie-Eve GIlla is a partner and winemaker of Forgeron Cellars, located in Walla Walla. These are the finest wines I have tasted to date from this reliable source."
