Accolades for Zinfandel & Primitivo
Washington Tasting Room Profiles 2010 Zinfandel
"Firm & structured, vibrant..."
Washington Tasting Room, Winter 2012/2013
The Winter 2012/2013 issue of Washington Tasting Room's "Tasting Room Picks - Washington vs. California" featured Zinfandels.
"What you should know: Zinfandel is California's 3rd most popular grape (nest to Chardonnay & Cab). It was long believed to be an American vine until the 1970's when UC Davis PhD student Wade Wolfe proved Zinfandel was identical to the Italian Primitivo grape through molecular fingerprinting research. Plantings were non-extistent in Washington a few years ago, but thanks to blockbusters like these that rival California's finest, its popularity is on the rise."

Nose: Bright top note that dips into briary aromas, raspberry, & cobbler pie.
Taste: Firm & structured, vibrant blackberry & black raspberry, black currant, roasted sage, with white pepper on the finish."Tweet
