Rand Sealey Reviews 2008 Les Collines Syrah

"Deep ruby colored, it offers an intense nose of raspberries, blackberries, black currants, dried roses, lavender & smoldering incense."

2008 Les Collines Vineyard Syrah ($46)

"This is a fine rendition of Syrah from the foothills of the Blue Mountains. Deep ruby colored, it offers an intense nose of raspberries, blackberries, black currants, dried roses, lavender and smoldering incense. The ripe, saturated dark fruits fan out on the palate with undertones of licorice, Swiss chocolate, French roast, mocha, and loess minerals (a trait of the Les Collines terroir). The back reveals tones of nougat and toffee and a cascade of pomegranate juice on a lingering, spiced (clove, nutmeg) and slightly peppery chewy tannin finish. 19/20 Points"
