2011 Forgeron Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley
"Composed of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this wine displays a purplish ruby color and rich aromas of blackberry, cherry, plum, red currant, crushed roses, tobacco and smoldering incense. On the palate, the flavors are plush and generous, yet focused, intermixed with licorice, chocolate, French roast and variegated earth minerals. The back picks up pressed juices, plum perserves, crème de cassis, and pencil lead, followed by a long nicely fruited, moderately oaked (41% new French) and spiced sweet-dry tannin finish. 18.5+/20 points."
